Parish of St Barnabas Homerton

A church for all ages and all nations and all people

Regular Giving to St Barnabas UNDER LOCKDOWN

Our churches are closed during the coronavirus pandemic, so what should you do with your planned giving envelopes?

Here are 5 options:

1.Bank transfer (very simple!) Pay your money into the church bank account by online bank transfer. Reference: your name + allocated envelope number. Maybe do this once a month

2.Standing Order  Some people give by Standing Order already. It makes life so easy! Contact Veronica if you’d like to start.

3. Write a cheque to cover what you would normally put in your envelopes, and pop the cheque in the post.

4. Post a fistful of envelopes through the letterbox of St Barnabas Rectory or All Souls Vicarage if you have the chance. If you cannot do this yourself, arrange for someone to do it on your behalf, or ask Clive or Roy to arrange for someone to collect them from your home.

5.Stockpile your envelopes (with your offering in each one!) and bring them along to church when we re-open.

Here are the parish bank account details:

HSBC 40-03-19    a/c number: 41143247

(Please use the full name for bank transfers. For cheques, St Barnabas Homerton Parochial Church Council is sufficient)

THANK YOU to those who have already found a safe way to return their envelopes or who have started paying through their bank.We do understand that, for some of you, the lockdown may have adversely affected your financial circumstances, and you may need to adjust your giving, whether through the bank or envelopes. Pray –and then decide.Without your regular giving, the church will struggle to pay its bills and honour its commitments.
